Thank you for thinking about making a donation to The Vale Pantry.  With the current cost of living crisis, we are busier than we have ever been and now find that Food Banks are referring people to us - simply because we can offer fresh foods, fruit, vegetables, dairy, meats and fish.  We are now helping over 280 households weekly and it is a constant challenge raising what we need to help everyone.

Every week we spend in the region of £3000 in purchasing the food we need for between our families, our memberships bring in £700-£900 approximately so we are constantly looking for ways to fundraise to meet the gap.  Its absolutely vital we continue the work we do in helping families through times of crisis that lead to food poverty and we need your support. We have a revolving door, as we help families to complete independence others join and our work starts again.

I don’t think everyone realises the Pantry is  not  a “foodbank” it is so much more it IS a community  of caring people helping others  who are down on their luck financially and mentally No matter what faith belief or religion.

It a place to get advice and help with so many social issues its where you know at least once a week you will  see people who  are pleased to see you and not just full of platitudes and fake smiles They go the extra mile to help the less fortunate. I just wish every town or village in the UK had  one like it  we would then have a much happier healthier  country.   I hope everyone who has visited THE  PANTRY will offer up a prayer of thanks to Carol and all the  superb helpers at the Pantry .."  A local gentleman who uses the Pantry each week.
